Children’s Church Ministry at Harvest Fire Worship Center

Mission/Purpose

The Children’s Church Ministry of Harvest Fire Worship Center exists to train up our children in the way they should go so that when they are older they will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). Our aim is to equip our children spiritually and emotionally: by increasing their knowledge and exposure to the Bible, through teaching and worshipping, and by creating an environment where they will fulfill their purpose of becoming workers for God.

The children will:

• Develop an intimate relationship with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
• Study the Word of God and develop the character of Christ in them.
• Learn to pray and worship.
• Learn how to be loving, kind, and respectful toward others.
• Develop an understanding of the Ten Commandments.
• Understand what it means to be a disciple.
• Learn the importance of tithing and giving offerings.
• Learn how to practice obedience to God, their parents, and others.

Teachers and Assistants will:

• Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Be in good standing at HFWC.
• Have a heart that seeks to train children to be Christ-like.
• Be enthusiastic, encouraging, understanding and flexible.
• Develop a positive relationship with children.
• Guide children into a personal and active relationship with Christ.
• Show fairness to all children.
• Be willing to receive training as necessary.

Activities
The Children’s Ministry team will be planning extra-curricular events throughout the year.  Some of these activities may not occur during church hours. Parental permission will be required in order for children to participate in these activities.  More information regarding these activities will be provided in the future.
